Project Overview
新加坡地铁跨岛线二期工程(下简称CRL2)全长约15公里,全地下敷设6个地铁站。CR202项目作为CRL2的一部分,将采用海瑞克混合式盾构机在美丽岛通道和新民径之间建造一条全长约5公里的大直径单洞双轨地铁隧道,该隧道建成后将成为新加坡境内由单台盾构机进行连续掘进的最长隧道。
The Cross Island Line Phase 2 (CRL2) spans 15 kilometers with 6 fully underground stations. As a part of CRL2, CR202 will involve the tunnelling of a double-track, single-bore metro tunnel approximately 5 kilometers between Fairways Drive and Sin Ming Walk using the Herrenknecht Mixshield. Upon completion, this tunnel will be the longest drive by a single TBM in Singapore.

Project Challenges
作为目前新加坡最长的盾构法大直径双轨单洞地铁隧道,CR202项目包含2公里深入地下、穿越中央集水地带自然保护区的隧道段。该工程周边地质条件复杂,工法要求多样,是新加坡地下工程史上最具挑战的隧道项目之一。
隧道掘进过程中,主要穿越微风化花岗岩层,其岩石最高强度达290 MPa。为应对极端地质条件,盾构机采用耐磨刀盘并优化滚刀间距以实现高效岩石切割;配备的滚动碎石机可将岩石破碎成更小颗粒,从而保障泥浆顺畅排出;开挖仓内还配置了特殊伸缩摄像系统,可在无需高压干预的情况下实时监控刀具、刀盘及掌子面状态。此外,盾构机搭载的半连续掘进系统(SCA)支持同步拼环与隧道掘进作业,可显著提升掘进效率。
As Singapore’s longest large-diameter double-track, single-bore tunnel by tunnelling method, a 2-kilometer section of the tunnel will pass under the Central Catchment Nature Reserve. The geological conditions surrounding the project are complex, and the construction methods required are diverse, making it one of the most challenging tunnel projects in Singapore's history of underground engineering.
When tunnelling, fresh granite with a UCS of up to 290 MPa. To cope with the extreme geological conditions, the TBM is especially equipped with a wear-resistant cutterhead with optimized disc cutters’ spacing for efficient rock cutting. Thereafter, a heavy-duty roller crusher crushes the rocks smaller for a smoother slurry discharge. In addition, a special telescopic camera system in the excavation chamber allows to monitor the status of the cutting tools and the tunnel face without the need for hyperbaric intervention. The TBM is also equipped with Semi Continuous Advance system to perform ring building and TBM advance concurrently, thereby increasing the tunnelling efficiency.

The completion of Singapore's Cross Island Line Phase 2 (CRL2) will significantly enhance transport accessibility in western Singapore. By adding 6 underground stations (including 2 interchange stations), CRL2 will fill current metro service gaps in areas like West Coast and Sunset Way. CRL2’s interchanges with the Downtown Line and East-West Line will strengthen connectivity between eastern, western and northeastern regions, while helping redistribute commuter loads across the entire rail network.
